Skagway, Alaska

Skagway is known for the White Mountain Pass & Yukon Pass railway. This is the train that was built to help miners get to the areas that they were mining in. Originally the men and women would hike the mountain to pan for gold. (that is one of the pictures on Alaska's license plate) They have since restored the train and you can take a 4 hour train ride to see all the sights. We did not do this because there is no room on the train to move about with an infant... not worth it! We did get to explore the town, which has been restored to the gold rush days. It was pretty neat. The top two pictures were taken as we were sailing out of Skagway. Alaska sure has beautiful senery!
