New Tricks

This week I discovered that I can roll on my side. My mom and dad better watch out! I also went to the doctor for my second week check up. I am now 21" long and 8lbs. 12 oz. My doctor is very happy with how big I am getting! I will keep you posted on my growth soon!

Makenna's Second Week

Here are some recent pictures of Makenna as we enter week number two!! You will see her favorite time of day (nap time) with daddy, getting her footprints and many other fun activities! She is getting bigger each day!

Makenna's First Bath

This morning Makenna took her first bath! Being her sassy self, as soon as we put her in the bath tub she chose to go to the bathroom! After we got her cleaned up she did quite well. Here are some pictures during and after her bath. Enjoy!

Makenna Louise Richey

Makenna arrived in this world on August 10, 2008 at7:19pm by C-section (trouble maker from day one). She weighed 7 lbs 14 ounces and was 19 inches in length. Here are a few photos of her first few days out of the womb.

Operation Evict Makenna!

Dr. Jones has decided to enduce us on Saturday, August 9th. We are all worried that Makenna is getting too big and she is not coming out on her own! Here is a picture of my belly taken the night before our induction. We were scheduled to go in at 4am. (Yes, Jamie and I chose this time. We were trying to get her to come on Grandpa's birthday!)

At 2AM in the morning we recieved a phone call from the hospital saying that they were swamped and we could not come in for our induction until they called us back. (Apparently everyone wanted to have their babies on 8-08-08!) Finally at 2PM the hospital was ready for us to come! We were VERY excited to see our baby girl soon!

Getting ready

As the days approach we are trying to make sure that we have everything ready for Makenna to come! We painted stripes in her room to make sure it was bright and happy! I am not sure Jamie thought it was as good of an idea as I did, but they came out great!! Here are some photos of what her room looks like! Thequilt was made by a good friend of ours... isn't it beautiful!
