Surgery #2!!

Well as we all know, Makenna is still getting sick... A LOT!! This past week we took Makenna into the doctor for a cough and it turned out that she had bronchitis, strep throat and double ear infections. The doctor thought that one of her tubes had fallen out too. Luckily, that was not the case. However, both tubes are currently clogged up. We went to our ENT two days later to find out that both tubes would have to be replaced. After much thought he feels that we should also take out her adenoids. We agreed and scheduled the surgery for April 6th. This past week we went to our immunologist (I know... a lot of doctors for one kid!) for a follow up. He had great news to tell us. Makenna's immune system looks great! She has no allergies either. As our doctor said, "she just has a lot of bad luck!" He also feels that taking out her adenoids will help her out. Perhaps we will be able to keep her healthy for longer than 4 weeks at a time. (That is the longest our poor child had made it without going to the doctor!!) Keep your fingers crossed that this next surgery is a success!

Here is Makenna eating one of her favorite foods, ice cream! She will get to eat a lot of this after her next surgery! Liquids and soft foods for three days...

Lights out Las Vegas!

Last night we had a bunch of our friends over for a "lights out" party! Mommy told me that Las Vegas is trying to go green (whatever that means!) so we are turning off all of our lights for an hour!! All the kids that came over got glow sticks and bracelets! Daddy even lit the fire pit for the adults to sit at! It was so much fun! Here are a few pictures!

Singing

As many of you know, I have learned lots of songs lately. Mommy and daddy's favorite song is twinkle, twinkle little star. Here is the best video they have been able to get! It is sooooooo silly!!

somersault

While I was in Mammoth not long ago I started somersaulting around the cabin. Here is a video of me and my daddy doing somersaults! I hope you like it!

Geocaching

On Sunday our friends, the Barnhart's, invited us to go "geocaching." Mommy told me that it is just like going on a treasure hunt. We were really lucky because the Maggio family came too!! My friend Mikey helped me pick out my treasures at each stop! Bryce found different spots in Red Rock Canyon to go hike. We had so much fun hiking and finding the treasures on and off the trail! The second treasure, Bryce had to hike up a HUGE mountain to find our box full of goodies! It was SO much fun. I can't wait to go again!! Thanks Barnhart's!!

Snowball fight

Aunt Dre and Mommy thought it would be funny to put us in the snow. I thought it would be funny to throw snowballs at Ryder. Ryder tried his best to throw snowballs back at me, but they kept sticking to his gloves. Poor Ryder, I'm sure you'll get me back next time!

Snowboarding

For Christmas Omi and Poppy bought me a snowboard! Daddy has been dying for me to test it out. When he got home from the mountain on Sunday he couldn't wait any longer. Mommy took some videos, but they uploaded sideways. (We will try to catch another one!) What a GREAT trip!!

Pretty snow

Here are some great pictures of all the snow. Daddy went outside in the cold weather to capture the great snowy shots! I loved eating it!

On Saturday mommy and daddy hit the slopes with all of their friends. I stayed at home with Omi, Aunt Dre, Chad, Brook & Big Jeff. Poor papa had a huge crash on their first run down. Mommy caught him buried in the snow! Omi drove us up to meet everyone for lunch. It was fun, until it started snowing so hard that I couldn't see my grilled cheese!! Here are some great pictures!

Mammoth here we come!

After getting home from Buffalo, mommy and daddy told me that they had a road trip planned to Mammoth for Uncle Trav's birthday. I was excited to go, but not to sit in the car! When we go close it was snowing! Over night we got 26" of snow! This is what our cars looked like! It was so pretty!!

Good-bye Buffalo

Here is a picture of our plane being de-iced before we left. It was snowy and SUPER cold!!!

I was really sad when Thursday came and I had to leave my friends. It is a good thing that they live in Las Vegas with me, or I would be really sad!! Thanks to Michael and Jason's grandma and poppy for letting me stay! I had so much fun

City Hall Tower

During our tour of downtown Buffalo, we stopped in the city hall building. It has an observation deck on the 28th floor. Here are some of the things that we saw. We couldn't go outside because of the snow... maybe next time!
