My Travels

As you all know I have been many places and seen many things! Boy am I lucky! Here are the pictures that mommy "made" me take at the state lines. She keeps telling me that I will think they are neat when I am older. I guess we will just have to wait and see!! :)

Uncle Merlin & Aunt Marg's house

Before we even arrived in Ohio, mommy would tell me all the stories of Uncle Merlin's house when she was a little girl. I just knew that she would take me there to meet Uncle Merlin and to see where she played... I was right!! When we got there, Uncle Merlin took out old cars for me to play with. I had so much fun driving the cars all around! Later we went to the backyard to see his pond. Oma walked all around the pond with me. She let me sit on an old tractor seat and smell his flowers in an old boat. Little did I know that the best part was still ahead! I got to ride on Uncle Merlin's Tractor! Oma drove me all around. Later, mommy got to drive! IT was SOOO exciting. Here are some great memories that I got to make at Uncle Merlin and Aunt Marg's house!
Thanks guys!!!

Uncle John & Aunt Bonnies Farm

While in Delta, Aunt Bonnie and Uncle John thought it would be a great idea to take me out to their farm. Uncle John grew up on the 112 acre farm! I loved looking out the window at the corn stalks. Mommy took some pictures of bunnies playing, me standing in the cornfield, all the veggies they are growing. (PS. The big bushy one is acutally asparagus that has gone to seed!) Thanks guys... that was really neat!

Family History

This house is where my great-great-great grandparents lived. My great-grandma took us up to Michigan to show us where she was born and grew up. The "umbrella" looking tree is where G.G. (Great-Grandma) used to play with her cousins. The house had a lot of good memories for G.G. I thought it was pretty neat to check it out!

After we looked at where GG grew up we were off to Lake Huron. GG told me that she used to play in the lake a lot when she was a girl. Her family use to take a picnic and drive down the road. So... that is what mommy, GG, Oma, Aunt Bonnie and I did. Boy did I love the lake. I thought I could just walk right into the lake. Mommy told me that I couldn't... but I sure tried!! :) After we checked out the lake, we went to play in the park. I got to sit on the swings... I even did a little bit of singing. I hope you enjoy my performance!! (Papa D says I need to keep practicing!)

Frankenmuth, Michigan

Once we were in Ohio a few days, Oma told me that she REALLY wanted to travel up to Michigan to visit the small town of Frankenmouth. I later found out that the world's largest Christmas store was there... then I knew why!! When we pulled into town we all decided to eat at the Bavarian Inn for a very yummy German chicken dinner! I had so much fun listening to the accordian play.
Later, after dinner, we headed over to Bronner's Christmas store. We were shopping for two hours and still didn't see the entire store! (Don't worry, I slept threw half of it!) It was a very neat store. I took pictures as a snowwoman, a gingerbread man and even go to talk to Santa on the phone. He asked if I was being good, of course i said YES!! I had so much fun checking everything out!! Maybe I will be able to go back again soon!

4 generations

This trip to Ohio was extra special because four generations traveled to visit family! There was great-grandma Buyer, Oma, Mommy and Me!! What a neat trip...

Playing with Cousins

While we were in Delta we got to visit with lots of cousins. Oma's cousin Carolyn came up to visit us. She is a BIG Ohio State fan, so I wore my Ohio state cheerleading outfit for her. Later we met Oma's cousin Eric's family for dinner. Marcia and her daughters Caroline and Kathryn kept me busy. The girls walked all around the restaurant with me. Mommy was VERY greatful to have a break! Thanks ladies!

BLUEBERRIES!!!!

As many of you know, blueberries are my FAVORITE fruit. When Aunt Bonnie said that we could go down to a blueberry patch in town and pick our own blueberries I got SOOOO excited. Mommy and Oma quickly loaded me into the car and we were off to go pick blueberries. Aunt Bonnie gave mommy a milk jug to tie around her waist so it would be easier to hold me and pick blueberries at the same time. It worked great for me too... anytime I wanted a blueberry, I could just reach down and grab one!! I hope you like the video of me picking my very own blueberries!:)

Later we got home and mommy and Oma taught me how to make blueberry jam! I am bringing jars home to share with daddy. I just know he will love it. Boy I wish daddy was here... I know he would love this blueberry patch too! :)
