Skagway, Alaska
Skagway is known for the White Mountain Pass & Yukon Pass railway. This is the train that was built to help miners get to the areas that they were mining in. Originally the men and women would hike the mountain to pan for gold. (that is one of the pictures on Alaska's license plate) They have since restored the train and you can take a 4 hour train ride to see all the sights. We did not do this because there is no room on the train to move about with an infant... not worth it! We did get to explore the town, which has been restored to the gold rush days. It was pretty neat. The top two pictures were taken as we were sailing out of Skagway. Alaska sure has beautiful senery!
Juneau, Alaska
(mom)- We have the largest amount of pictures from Juneau. Jamie and I were lucky enough to take a helicopter trip up to Mendenhall Glacier. We had the opportunity to land and hike part of the glacier. These pictures were taken in flight as well as on the glacier. The streams that you see in the picture start as a trickle of water and within two weeks are the stream you see in the pictures. We also all go to drink the glacier water. Overall it was AMAZING!! We also threw in a pciture of Makenna in her polar bear hat in the store... too funny!!
Ketchikan, Alaska
While daddy, papa d, grandma, uncle travis, grammie lynn, big wave dave all went deep sea fishing, Auntie Andrea, mommy, Ryder and I went shopping in town. It was a chilly day so the mommies made srue to bundle us up good. I was so snuggy and warm that I fell asleep while we cruised the town. Mommy and Aunt Andrea had lots of fun exploring. We want to go back one day!
Dat 1- At Sea
Our first day of vacation was at sea. It was fun to get to play on our balcony (Makenna LOVED playing outside). The first night was also our formal night. Here is a family picture of us all dressed up as well as a group shot. We hope you enjoy them.
PS- I am going to appologize ahead of time. I tried to condense the 360 pictures I took into a few posts. I hope it works!! Enjoy!
Departing Vancouver for Alaska
(mom)-As many of know we got to go to Alaska on a family vacation last week! Here is the first part of the trip on the plane and arriving in Vancouver. Jamie and I were very lucky to have a seat open between us on the flight. All things considered the babies did VERY well. Our first travel day was just over 12 hours and for the most part we had zero melt downs (from babies!!) The top pictures are of Ryder and Makenna playing at the pursers desk on the ship. Mommies and Daddies had to switch rooms around, so the babies got to play! (As many of you guessed, Germs were not a number 1 concern!!)

CRAWLING
(MOM)- We have EXCITING news! Makenna finally started crawling tonight! We were at my work, finishing packing up, and she was playing with my keys. Suddenly she threw them away from herself, and decided to go crawl and get them. Jamie and I were in such shock we just sat and watched as she did it a few more times. When we got home we tried it again. She knew the camera was there, but we still got some good shots. She is becoming more mobile everyday! Enjoy! :)

Happy Birthday Miles!!
This past weekend we got to go and celebrate Miles' 3rd birthday. Daddy and I got to swim with his brother (and my new friend) Sam. I even played with all the pool toys when I was done swimming. It was SOOO much fun. The silliest thing happened too... Sam gave me a kiss! Mommy tried to catch the picture while she was holding me so it is kind of silly, but you can imagine! To end the party we played pin the alien in the spaceship! Thanks for a great time Barnhart family!
