Choking Drama

You know, there is one thing that is always true with the Richey family... we get sick! Wyatt has been fighting off all kinds of sicknesses for a while now. (Nothing major, just pnemonia & other respitory issues) This time, it had nothing to do with being sick. While mommy was picking up the family room Wyatt stuck something in his mouth and started to choke. Mommy stuck her finger in his mouth trying to get it out. Long story short it ended in a trip to the hospital. X-rays showed nothing was there, thank goodness. Here are some pictures mommy took while at the hospital. A special thanks to Jen for letting me hang out with her and the boys all morning!! =)

New Years 2012

Every year Pat and Kristen have a New Years party at their house. I love going because all my friends are there, but also because they hire a face painter. This nice lady always makes us look so cool. When she is done painting everyone's face, she makes really neat balloons. Each of us got a rattlesnake that really rattles! I had so much fun. We came home right after Christmas. Mommy and I were excited because this meant that we would have a few days to just hang out in our house. We were really lucky too... the weather was in the 70's and BEAUTFUL! One day I decided to go knock on my neighbor AJ's door to see i he wanted to play. He and his brother Aiden did! We rode bikes, drove the power wheels and painted the streets. It was an amazing time.

The day after Christmas all of the family got together at La Crescenta park to take some family photos. It was the first time that everyone was home during Christmas in over 5 years! Chrismas Eve

Christmas Eve came really fast! Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Chase came by to visit and give us gifts. I got the book Caps for Sale. Omi let us open a few gifts too! Wyatt and I were getting so excited for Christmas morning!! Just before Ryder and Becker left to go to bed, we went to the computer. Ryder and I wanted to track Santa and see where he was! He was getting closer by the minute. We were so excited!

I just had one more thing to do before bed. I wrote a special note to Santa and to Conner. Mommy helped me write Santa's note, but I drew him a picture and wrote my name. I made sure Santa had extra arms because I know he sure does a lot of things! I wrote "my name" and drew a picture of me for conner to remember me by. I know he will remember me and come back next year!

Another exciting part of going to California is getting to see all of mommies friends and their kids! On the Friday before Christmas we all met to play at Aunt Dre's house. We played games, ate pizza and told stories. I am looking forward to having many more play dates like this!

Celebrating with Grandma and Grandpa Richey

On Sunday morning before e left we took time to sit and enjoy the holiday season. Grandma, Grandpa, mom and dad pulled out and sorted gifts for us. Uncle Sean and Aunt April had sent theirs along too. We had so much fun opening everything. I got princess clothes and dance clothes. Wyatt got clothes and some great toys too! I can't wait until I get to see everyone again!

Arizona Christmas

Right before Christmas Mommy and Daddy told me that we were going to ride the Polar Express in Arizona! To make this trip even better, we were going to go to Flagstaff a few days early to see Grandma and Grandpa Richey. We stayed in a really cute little house and enjoyed the weather. It even snowed the first night we were there. I thought it would be funny to run outside naked... well, mommy got a picture! We got to go sledding and just enjoy seeing each other.

After we decorated our cookies we went outside to head home... instead we found a petting zoo! I was so excited because I just LOVE animals. The ladies there gave us food to feed the animals. Each year our church hosts a "Cookies with Santa" day. This year we were home so Wyatt and I got to go! It as amazing. Santa was there to take pictures with and talk to. To make it even better we got to frost and decorate cookies!! I had a great time at Church.

Christmas Hay Ride

While Omi was here visiting we anted to try to do some neat things. Mommy found a great deal to go on a Christmas Caroling Hay ride. Kristen and Tyler got to come with us. When we arrived at the ranch we saw the huge wagon with lights and decorations all over. We sang and rode all around town! We had a really nice time. After the ride they took all of us to a campfire. They had hot dogs, chili and hot cocoa waiting! It was a really fun time! Maybe we will ge to do it again next year!

School Christmas Concert

Now that I am in preschool I get to do lots of neat things. One of them is concerts. At this year's Christmas Concert I got to sing 3 songs with my preschool class! Each room sang Holiday songs to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus. I LOVED singing! Thanks Omi for coming to see me sing!

Conner

Every holiday season Santa sends one of his elves to my house to keep an eye on Wyatt and I. We are so lucky because our elf is Conner!! Connergoes to the North Pole every night to tell Santa how we are behaving. Every morning he comes back in a new spot. My two favorites were on the chalkboard with a note and sledding down a pretend hill.

On Christmas even morning I found a note from Conner telling me that I could give him one last hug good bye that night. (Because you are not suppose to touch him!) I have him a hug and left some milk and cookies for him too! I just love Conner. I can't wait until he comes back next year!

Going to see Santa

We went down to visit Papa, Omi, Ryder, Becker, Aunt Dre and Uncle Trav. While we were visiting we all decided to go see Santa. We loaded everyone in the car and went to the Amereicana. On the same day that Wyatt turned 8 months, Tyler turned 5 years old! His mommy Kristen threw him a birthday party in the park in California. We woke up that day to some REALLY cold weather. Mommy and Daddy tried to bundle us up as warm was they could, but it just didn't work. Only a few hours into it I told mommy and daddy I was too cold to stay, we needed to go and warm up! When it came time for Thanksgiving I was really excited to lend Omi a helping hand! I got to help her make her famous stuffing! The best part was cooking pumpkins! Mom had never shown me how to do this before! We gutted, cut and cooked three pumpkins!! We used the pumpkin to make pumpkin bread and pumpkin cookies! We even cooked all the yummy seeds! Here is the story

Here is the story between my friend Kaitlyn and I. It all started back when Mommy, Omi and Aunt Nancy took me to visit Danielle and Scott in Kansas. Mommy told me that Danielle had a baby girl in her tummy. I asked what her name was. Danielle told me that it was going to be a secret, but she also wanted to know what I thought her name should be. Now I took this job very seriously. I thought and thought. It had to be Baby Sally!! Sally was a very beautiful and fast racecar in the movie Cars, so it only made sense for Danielle and Scott to name their baby girl Sally. Well, lots of time passed. I called the baby "Baby Sally" and everything was great... that was until Danielle went into labor. Baby Sally came out (and believe it or not) Danielle and Scott did NOT name her Sally. I just didnt' get it! Mommy kept telling me that I had to call her Kaitlyn, but I wasn't sure I wanted to! That all changed when I met her! She was so cute and Kaitlyn fit her perfect! I am so glad that we welcomed her into the world and I have a new friend!!

Trunk or Treat

Our church each year holds an event called "Trunk or Treat." People come and decorate their trunks all neat, then us kids get to go trick or treating. Mommies and daddies like it because no one can go too far! This year they had bouncy houses, pony rides and even a haunted house. (Don't worry, I didn't go... Daddy did!!) I think Wyatt was a little overwhelmed by all the people, but he was still smiling! We had so much fun.

On the first Sunday of every month Home Depot has a craft activity for kids. Well in September, all the moms and dads thought it would be fun to take us kids. This months craft was making a dry erase board. Daddy helped me build it, but I got to paint it all by myself. I hope I get to go again soon!

WTG's BBQ

Before we all went back to school WTG (aka. Grandma Cindy) wanted to have a BBQ. I love going to her house because there is so much space to run around and have fun. This time was no different! Little Mermaid with Ome

One day, when I was at Ome's house she told me that she had bought us tickets to go see "The Mermaid" at Center Theater. I was so excited to see Ariel! We go to Mammoth a lot, but haven't always taken th etime to check everything out. This trip our goal was to do the things we never got around to. One of those things was Lake Mary. We stopped in and rented a paddle boat to go have fun in! We even let Omi have a break from sitting with Wyatt to come paddle too! It was a great adventure!

Disneyland for my birthday!

For my birthday we decided to spend a few hours at Disneyland! We started our afternoon in California Adventure. I got to ride on the new Ariel ride. I loved it so much that we went on it again! Mommy and Daddy also took me to Bug's land where we rode a few more rides. The highlight of my night for sure was getting to see Tinkerbell. She flew from the sky and helped start the firework show! It was AMAZING! Maybe one day I will be able to fly like Tinkerbell!

Good Bye Jade

On July 30th we had to say Good-bye to Jade. She was really sick and having trouble moving around the house. Mommy and Daddy said that it was time for her to go to Heaven and feel better. I sure miss having her in our house. I know mommy and daddy do too. Maybe I will get to have another doggie one day.

Rice Cereal

Wyatt had his four month check up this week. He is 19lbs and 25 1/2 inches long. He is eating more than anyone I know! Our doctor recommended starting him on rice cereal, then onto real food! While we were on the houseboat we got to ride and drive the jet skiis every day! I LOVED riding and driving them (although I could only drive with daddy... mommy said I was a little too crazy!). Here we are having some fun!!!

One of Ryder and my favorite parts of the trip was fishing! Every morning we woke up it was all that we could talk about! Here are some pictures of me fishing and catching catfish. THANK YOU Uncle Trav and Aunt Dre for my totally awesome Barbie fishing pole! Without it no fishing could have happened!!

The best part of our houseboat trip was getting to spend so much time with my best bud Ryder! We got to fish together, swim together and share a room! I know that Wyatt and Becker really enjoyed being together too! I can't wait to go on this trip EVERY year!!

Daddy's Birthday

For Daddy's birthday dinner we went to a restaurant that cooks your food in front of you. I had never been to one of these places before! I thought it was so neat to see the chef flip eggs in his hat and cook rice. Maybe I will get to go back again soon!

Disneyland

For Daddy's birthday this year we went to Disneyland. It was the first time we went as a family! I was so excited to go on all the rides! I was REALLY brave and rode the manahorn and Mickey's rollercoaster!! Wyatt even got to ride the Winnie the Pooh ride and Buzz Lightyear!! I hope that my mom and dad take me for my birthday!

This summer we went to the beach house to hang out and catch some rays! Makenna could not get enough! She went boggie boarding and "body surfing" with daddy! She is getting so big!

Kid Fit

Ever since Wyatt was born Makenna has been going to the community center to take little classes. Her favorite by far is kid fit with Mr. Adam! They get to play all kinds of sports and run around. Mr. Adam is so patient and wonderful! Here she is with her favorite teacher!! =)

At the Hospital

We drove to the hospital two hours early to get ready for the paper work and waiting game. That is exacty what we got! On the upside Wyatt was quite the trooper. He enjoyed his space hospital gown, especially trying to eat it!! ha ha ha The doctor ended up running two hours late! Poor Wyatt couldn't eat and just sat there. Jamie took him into play with some of the toys at one point so that he could be distracted. At 2pm he went in. Everything took about an hour and went well! We are so glad to have it over with! Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!

Surgery Day

On Wednesday June 29th Wyatt had surgery. Before we left for the hospital we took pictures of him an his big sis. She loves him so much and has been so good with him!

Ryder's third birthday party was AMAZING! It was a wet and wild kind of fun. Aunt Dre set up the big water slide and two smaller pools! I didn't get out ALL day... Mommy and daddy had a fun time catching up with all of their friends! I can't wait until my birthday. I wonder what we will do to celebrate?!?!

We got to the airport a few hours early to

get all our stuff checked in and sorted. As they were printing our tickets they told us that our plane was 6 hours delayed! I almost started crying... what was I going to do with the kids in a small airport for six hours?!?! Well it actually worked out fine! Makenna played with her bbox of fun and Wyatt hung out!! A BIG thank you to Omi and Aunt Nancy for all of their help!

Danielle's Garden

While in Kansas we went to Scott's dad's house for dinner! I LOVED playing there!! First, they had a huge backyard for me to run around in. Second, I got to play fetch with their doggy. It made me miss Jade! Third, I ate the best dinner ever. Another highlight to the evening was when Omi let me use her camera to take lots of pictures... maybe I will be a photographer when I grow up!! =)
